Early in my career, I was a Store Manager for Caribou Coffee where I launched a team building and training program for all new store openings in the Chicago and Milwaukee markets.
I've always been a teacher at heart, so I went to back to school to get my teaching degree. During my time in public education, I served as a Special Education teacher, Outdoor Education teacher, Instructional Coach, and Principal. I earned a Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction and a second Masters Degree in Educational Leadership.
My leadership journey extends into the nonprofit sector where I led an adventure therapy organization as Executive Director.
I am a certified yoga and mindfulness teacher.
Coaching is integral to the change process. I have training in many coaching styles, but my approach is most influenced by Cognitive Coaching SM and Polarity Thinking™.

My coaching practice is heavily influenced by the Cognitive Coaching SM approach, serving as a mediator of your thinking. I will show up fully present, paraphrase your thinking, and pose questions along a cognitive map intended to elevate your resourcefulness.
Board development options include Board retreats, dynamic meeting structures, navigating tension and leveraging polarities, conflict resolution, cognitive diversity and strategic planning. Together, we will create a plan for healthy and effective ways of working with your Board.
The most impactful school based work happens from a systems approach. Partnering with your administration, I train all levels of educational staff to support social emotional learning, trauma informed practices and cultivating emotional resilience in educators and students. I coach administrators and teaching staff to lead with confident humility and how to embody emotional intelligence. Together, we will develop teams that can be responsive to student and family needs.
With over twenty years of facilitating team building for all ages and abilities, I create experiences that bring your team together in a meaningful way. You share your intended outcomes, and I build a workshop, retreat, or ongoing plan for team development and cohesion.
